Clemson Football Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
Tue, 18 Nov 2008 22:32:04 PST-

Though C.J. Spiller has made the big plays in Clemson's last two victories, quarterback Cullen Harper also has played a key role in the Tigers' resurgence.

Harper has played four games under interim coach Dabo Swinney and has thrown for 954 yards, nearly half his season total of 2,075 yards. The Tigers (5-5, 3-4 ACC) have gone 2-2 in that span.

Harper has thrown for at least 240 yards in each of the last three games—all starts—with a high of 292 against Duke in his last outing. His previous season high was 262 against North Carolina State, the only time in his first seven games he was over the 200-yard mark.

"He's starting to play like we all expected him to play," Swinney told the Columbia State newspaper.

Tigers, Spiller bedevil Duke in 31-7 win (AP)
Sat, 15 Nov 2008 12:31:27 PST-

Clemson's quarterback Cullen Harper (10) gets sacked by Duke's Greg Akinbiyi (54) during the first half of an NCAA college football game Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at Memorial Stadium in Clemson, S.C.

C.J. Spiller had an 83-yard touchdown catch and a 24-yard scoring run to help Clemson Football win its 14th straight over Duke at home 31-7 on Saturday. Spiller continued his electrifying play in the season's second half for the Tigers (5-5, 3-4 Atlantic Coast Conference). He accounted for 242 yards two weeks ago in Clemson's 27-21 win at Boston College, its first under interim coach Dabo Swinney.
